We are pleased to introduce our Director of Partner Operations, Jessica. Jessica joined the team last year and hit the ground running on some of our biggest operational challenges. In her spare time, she is a huge TV and pop culture buff, loves everything Harry Potter, and is currently working on a very difficult jigsaw puzzle.

We sat down with Jessica to learn more about her and why she chose to work at Handy.

 

What fad or trend do you hope comes back? 

Great rom-coms...it's been a while.

 

What is your least favorite cleaning chore? 

Anything requiring deep cleaning and/or bleach. I love to Swiffer though!

 

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? 

Honestly, I don’t think I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up, and I still don’t. I just work hard and say yes to opportunities so that when I finally figure it out nothing will stand in my way.

 

What are you looking forward to in the coming months? 

The end of wedding season so I can have my free time back.

 

What’s your favorite meal to cook? 

Tacos - so quick and easy and delicious.

 

What’s your favorite movie or genre of movie? 

Kid sports movies like The Little Giants, The Mighty Ducks, the Sandlot...boy, they don’t make them like they used to (did I just give away my age?).

 

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? 

You should always have two sources of income or at least a passion project on the side.

 

Do you have a lucky number? If so, why is it lucky? 

24, it's my birthdate.

 

What’s your favorite thing about working for Handy? 

The people. It's nice to be surrounded by hardworking, intelligent, humble, friendly, and respectful people. It pushes you to bring your best self to work everyday.
